🎨 Here’s what I learned today about texture, space, form, and typography.
1. Texture – Visual Element of Graphic Design
🖌️ Texture adds depth and a tactile feel to designs, making them more immersive.
Types of Texture:
Image Texture: Incorporates realistic imagery, like wood grain or fabric. 🪵✨
Pattern Texture: Repeating elements to create consistency and rhythm. 🔁🎭
2. Space – Visual Element of Graphic Design
🌌 Space defines the arrangement of elements and creates balance.
Types of Space:
Positive Space: The main elements in your design.
Negative Space: The empty space around or within elements.
Effects That Create Dynamics:
Proximity 🔗
Overlap 🎯
Opacity 🌫️
Light & Shadow 🌞🌑
Perspective 📏
3. Form – Visual Element of Graphic Design
🔺 Forms are 3D shapes that give designs a sense of depth.
Types of Forms:
1️⃣ Geometric Forms: Man-made, like cubes or pyramids. 🔳
2️⃣ Organic Forms: Natural, like rocks or flowing water. 🌿💧
4. Typography – Visual Element of Graphic Design
✍️ Typography shapes the tone and character of a design.
Categories of Typeface:
Sans Serif: Clean and modern. 🖋️
Serif: Classic and elegant. 📜
Script: Formal and handwriting-inspired. ✒️
Slab Serif: Bold and eye-catching. 🔡
Blackletter: Ornate and historical. 🏰
Decorative: Playful and expressive. 🎉
Abstract: Experimental and innovative. 🔤
